The Name
Juste is a French word with no English equivalent: fair, principled, true, measured. It is a value I strive for, and what the scale in the logo stands for.
About Me
I'm Lucas Sarkadi, a Unity developer based in France.
I started coding as a kid, long before I knew it could be a career. That took me through an engineering school and a game development program, then into the industry, where I spent years building in-house tools and SDKs at Voodoo and Homa, two of the biggest names in casual gaming.
What stuck was making tools. Solving a problem once, properly, so nobody has to fight it again. That's what Juste Tools is.
Outside of work I'm usually at a game jam, behind a drum kit, or watching sci-fi and horror.
My Stance on AI
I use Claude Code throughout development. How I use it matters to me.
Against alienation.
A lot of AI use pulls programmers away from their craft. Making tools goes the other way: you stay close to the work and keep solving real problems.
The effort is spent once.
A tool gets written and reviewed once, carefully, and everyone who uses it afterwards leans on AI less themselves.
The surface is mine.
The public APIs, the workflows, the documentation phrasing: those decide how a tool feels to use, and I write them. AI helps me move faster underneath.
